We would like to extend special recognition to Jordan Irving ‘22 and Allie Bohenko ‘23 for being the first Marist Rowing rower & coxswain to attend UK's prestigious Oxford Brookes University.

As a former Captain, Jordan continues to set a high standard. In 2023, his first year with Oxford Brookes, Jordan stroked their Heavyweight Eight "B" boat to the semifinals of the Temple Challenge Cup. In 2024, Jordan was a member of their Straight Four crew. They fell short in their race to their fellow "A" crew who was the eventual winner of Stewards' Challenge Cup in the Open Event category.

In 2024, former Marist coxswain, Allie Bohenko '23 lead her Oxford Brookes "A" crew capture the prestigious Temple Challenge Cup. She is the first athlete from Marist to win a championship at Royal Henley Regatta. Allie’s family Mark, Kim and Allie's sister, Sophie traveled to England to cheer Allie on.

Many thanks to Allie, and Jordan and their supporters for establishing an ongoing "pipeline" to Oxford Brookes University. As a result of Jordan and Allie’s success, Gavin Crouch '24 will follow in their footsteps.
