Sean Clarke
2007-2012
Sean Clarke started his rowing career in 1995 at F.D.Roosevelt High School in Hyde Park, NY in where he was named the captain in the 2000 Season. He then Rowed at Marist from 2000 to 2004 where he won 4 MAAC Championships, 1 New York State Championship, 4 top 3 placings at the ECAC National Championship Regatta, and 4 top 20 placings at the Historic IRA Championship Regatta. He graduated in 2004 as the Captain of Marist Crew, and earned a Bachelor's Degree for Business Administration from Marist.
Outside of Marist College, Sean was a 6 time USRowing National Champion with the New York Athletic Club, won a Gold Medal in the Lightweight 8 Category at the Canadian Henley, and placed 7th at the Indoor Rowing World Championships.
Sean started his outstanding coaching career in 2005 with the Freshman squad winning right off the bat with a MAAC Championship and a 1st place New York State Collegiate Title. He took over the Head Coach position in 2007 and since then his crews have gone on to win every year including 4 MAAC Championships, 4 New York State Titles, 4 President's Cup Trophies, 2 ECAC Medals and a 2nd place National Championship Medal at the IRA Regatta. This was the first IRA Medal in Marist Crew history.
