Matt Lavin
2012-2014
Lavin was the Men's Crew Head Coach for two seasons. He won three consecutive MAAC Championships (2012-14), while also being the 2013 and 2014 MAAC Coach of the Year after leading the Red Foxes to their 13th conference title in a row, and 16th in program history.
Lavin joined the Red Foxes' coaching staff in the fall of 2011 as the coach of the freshmen team while also assisting with the varsity boats. He became the Head Coach in the summer of 2012.
Before arriving at Marist, Lavin coached at Gonzaga College High School in Washington, DC while he finished his undergraduate career at Georgetown University. Lavin rowed for two and a half years at Georgetown, before graduating in 2011 with a degree in International Politics.
