Midwinter Update 2025

Dear Marist Rowing Alumni, Family, and Friends.

See in this short video a quick recap of the 2025 Annual Biathlon Event from Super Sunday. Congrats to our podium Liam Klemm (Sr), Drew Ngo (Jr) and Nolan King (So). Also congrats to our top frosh Ian Sondhof.

Reminder for Giving Day 2025 which is scheduled for MARCH 26th! MARK YOUR CALENDARS! Bob Missert and I are still pulling together lead donors to help push the team that day so please reach out to one of us if you’re interested in helping lead the pack!

Also: Today we are completing the Connor’s Erg Challenge. The Connor’s Erg is a Charity event named for Robert Connor Dawes(RCD), a young athlete who was recruited by Wisconsin and Stanford but tragically passed away from pediatric brain cancer before he was able to compete at the collegiate level. Connor’s family, and these two teams worked together to form the RCD Foundation which raises money for research on pediatric brain cancer which is the leading disease related cause of death among adolescents. We want to invite all of our families and alumni to join us in support of a great cause by donating $20 to the foundation today. 100% of our oarsmen and coaches will be joining you! The Challenge itself is being raced today, 100K on the ergometer as a virtual erg race split among 5 ergs with 5 oarsmen on each erg. Marist is the current record holder for this event with an avg split of 1:27.3. (2022). Follow the link here to join our team in supporting a great cause!
